On a personal note, Landa was born in Indiana, transplanted to Florida, but remained a Hoosier at heart returning to Indiana University. She and her husband moved to Zionsville in 1967 where they raised three children. Her greatest joy today are the eight perfect children that call her 'Grandma.'
